OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) is a faith-filled, no-pressure journey to understand the Catholic faith through classes, discussion, and participation, all while developing a personal relationship with Jesus the Christ within the love of community.
The usual time of entry into the Church is at Easter Vigil (the evening before Easter Day). We ask that those not yet in the faith begin to attend either Sunday Mass (8:30 am or 10:30 am) or Saturday evening’s “Vigil Mass (5:00 pm).
Classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30, starting around Labor Day and will go through Easter for a few weeks. The class time is geared toward a deeper learning and understanding of who we are, what we believe, and the traditions we hold.
If you cannot attend every class on Tuesday evening or have other commitments, no problem. We offer an online catch-up class on Monday evenings via Zoom. Simply watch the class video and come to the Monday evening catch-up class. If you miss 4 or more classes, please meet with the OCIA Coordinator for a more in-depth catch-up.
