Building Committee

Gary Beier, 913-238-5433

The purpose of this committee is to coordinate and implement all elements of the care, maintenance, and improvements needed for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. This committee must perform in a timely fashion to ensure minimal disruption to parish activities and to reduce the financial impact caused by a lack of attention. Volunteerism from the parish at large is encouraged, and reliable established vendors will be employed for those projects requiring expert assistance. Control of expenditures with a concerted effort to maintain an attractive, family-friendly environment is key to the committee’s success.

The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to collaborate with the Pastor to promote the spiritual growth of the parish community and to plan ways for the parish to carry out the larger mission of the Church and to proclaim the Good News of God’s Kingdom among us.

The Pastoral Council provides the strategic vision and plans for the parish and the guidance to ensure the vision is realized.

  1. Develop and maintain a mission statement that embraces and evolves with the total life and mission of the Church and the parish.
  2. Develop clear and concise goals and objectives based on the mission statement and the emerging needs of the parish community.
  3. Encourage and promote all parish and community activities.
  4. Investigate and ponder issues brought to the Pastoral Council and conclude or decide on directions to be taken.

Stewardship Committee

Our mission is to increase awareness in parishioners that everything we have is a gift from God and we are called to be good stewards of those gifts. We encourage every member to share their gifts of time, talent, and treasure with their parish.

Each year we have a Stewardship Appeal when we ask every member of Holy Spirit Church to make a pledge of support to their parish. This support comes through financial contributions, the gift of time and talent and through prayers for our parish.
