Building Committee
Gary Beier, 913-238-5433
The purpose of this committee is to coordinate and implement all elements of the care, maintenance, and improvements needed for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC. This committee must perform in a timely fashion to ensure minimal disruption to parish activities and to reduce the financial impact caused by a lack of attention. Volunteerism from the parish at large is encouraged, and reliable established vendors will be employed for those projects requiring expert assistance. Control of expenditures with a concerted effort to maintain an attractive, family-friendly environment is key to the committee’s success.

SCRIP cards are merchandise cards that can be used just like cash. Holy Spirit will order gift cards and then sell them to you for face value. You can purchase cards that are used just like cash for a variety of stores. So, there is no cost to you. You would be spending the money at a particular retailer anyway so why not purchase a gift card to make your purchase with us instead. They also make great gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and more. Save yourself a trip to your favorite department store, restaurant or book store. We have 30 cards in stock and available each weekend after all the Masses. There are others to choose from that you can order on the weekend at church to have available the following weekend after Mass. There are vendors that participate in this program nationwide. The church receives a percentage of the sale varying from 2% to 15% depending on the company. For a complete listing of participating retailers visit their website www.glscrip.com There is also more information on the church website about ordering these cards directly online. Follow the simple step by step instructions to see how.
Stewardship Committee
Our mission is to increase awareness in parishioners that everything we have is a gift from God and we are called to be good stewards of those gifts. We encourage every member to share their gifts of time, talent, and treasure with their parish.
Each year we have a Stewardship Appeal when we ask every member of Holy Spirit Church to make a pledge of support to their parish. This support comes through financial contributions, the gift of time and talent and through prayers for our parish.
